While Jesus was on earth he promised, "...I will build my church..." (Matt. 16:18). Throughout the pages of the New Testament is found a distinct plan for the organization and work of Christ's church. Congregations of the Lord's church had a plurality of elders and deacons (I Tim. 3:1-13; Phil. 1:1). The church of the Bible worshiped in a specific way upon the first day of every week (Acts 20:7; I Cor. 16:1-2). The New Testament is a clear, concise pattern for us to follow today.

 

   The Leonard St. church of Christ follows the God-given plan found in the New Testament of Christ (Col. 3:17). It is our desire to always do those things that are pleasing to God.
